In this dish, the sweetness of the Sumo pairs perfectly with the saltiness from the soy sauce. If you like things a little spicy, add a tsp of chili paste and it will really kick up the flavor. This goes great with rice and any vegetable.
Not only is the salmon recipe super easy, it only uses one pan so there is easy clean up. The salmon will keep well for two days in the fridge, if there are any leftovers (not likely!).
Ingredients
- 1 pound of salmon, skin off
- 2 Sumo Citrus
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Fresh parsley, to garnish
Instructions
- In an ovenproof skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Sear salmon on one side 4 minutes, turning and sear for another 2
- Move salmon over and add juice of 1 Sumo, soy sauce, honey, garlic, salt and pepper and cook down 2 minutes
- Top salmon with Sumo Slices and pour sauce over top of salmon
- Turn on broiler and broil salmon on high for 2 minutes
- Pour remaining sauce over salmon
- Top with parsley
